Margie Achondo Jones is one of our most active and supportive RAR Members. Born and raised in El Paso, TX, Margie enjoyed art and dance early on in her life. After graduating high school she attended a Business College to get a Secretarial Degree, worked in several Businesses in El Paso and later worked at The White Sands Missile Range Army Base in various secretarial positions there. She also studied art at the University of El Paso. Margie has quite a life story and has overcome many obstacles in her life including the loss of her husband to cancer in July 2000 and surviving breast cancer twice. Over the years Margie learned a lot about alternative medicine, diet and exercise and along with her faith and belief in God, is a BRIGHT LIGHT of wisdom and encouragement. Margie also enjoys doing graphic design, arts, crafts, home improvement projects and photography. Two of her inspirations were Walt Disney and Jack LaLanne and she is looking forward to writing self-help books and illustrating and writing children’s books. Keep shining your Bright Light Margie. You are an inspiration!
